The Mexican haulage and overhead crane market fell -X% to $X in 2021, the third consecutive year of decline after two years of growth. Overall, consumption faced a sudden setback. Belize (X units) is the leading destination for Mexico's export of transport cranes and overhead cranes, accounting for X% of total exports. In addition, the number of transport and overhead cranes exported to Belize exceeded six times the number exported to the second major destination, the United States (X units).

From 2012 to 2021, the average annual growth rate of exports to Belize totals +X%. Exports to other major destinations recorded the following average annual export growth rates: United States (+X% per annum) and Canada (+X% per annum).

In terms of value, Belize ($X) emerged as the leading foreign market for Mexico's haulage and overhead crane exports, accounting for X% of total exports. In second place is Canada ($X) with X% of total exports.

From 2012 to 2021, the value to Belize will grow at an average annual rate of +X%. Exports to other major destinations recorded the following average annual export growth rates: Canada (+X% per annum) and the United States (+X% per annum).

Import scale of bridge cranes and gantry cranes in Mexico

Overseas purchases of haulage cranes, gantry cranes and overhead cranes fell -X% to X units in 2021, the third consecutive year of decline after two years of growth. During the period under review, imports continued to show a sudden decrease. The growth rate was most pronounced in 2015, with an X% increase over the previous year. Imports peaked at X units in 2018; however, imports remain low from 2019 to 2021.

In value terms, 2021 imports of transport and overhead cranes dropped significantly to $X. Overall, imports continued to decline sharply. The most significant growth rate occurred in 2018, which was an X% increase compared to the previous year. As a result, imports peaked at X dollars. Import growth will remain low in 2019-2021.

In 2021, the United States (X units) is the largest supplier of transport and overhead cranes in Mexico, accounting for X% of total imports. In addition, transport cranes and overhead cranes imported from the US were seven times higher than the number recorded by the second largest supplier, China (X units). Third in the ranking is Germany (X units) with an X% share.

From 2012 to 2021, the average annual growth rate of U.S. export volume is -X%. The average annual growth rates of imports for the remaining suppliers are as follows: China (-X% per annum) and Germany (-X% per annum). United States ($X) is the largest supplier of transport and overhead cranes to Mexico by value, accounting for X% of total imports. In second place is Germany ($X) with X% of total imports. It is followed by Japan with an X% share.

Average annual value growth in the U.S. from 2012 to 2021 is -X%. The average annual growth rates of imports for the remaining suppliers are as follows: Germany (+X% per annum) and Japan (-X% per annum)

The United States is Mexico's largest supplier of transport and overhead cranes by value, accounting for 66% of total imports. In second place is Germany, with 21% of total imports. It is followed by Japan with a share of 7.4%.

In terms of value, Belize emerged as the main foreign market for Mexican transport cranes and overhead crane exports, accounting for 75% of total exports. In second place is Canada, with 15% of total exports.

In 2021, the average export price of transport cranes and overhead cranes will be USD 3,148 each, a decrease of -37.5% from the previous year.

In 2021, the average import price of transport cranes and overhead cranes will be USD 11,306 per unit, down -30.8% from the previous year.
